Olympic Qualifiers

With the Olympic Games less than a year away our nations sporting teams are busy selecting players, qualifying and practicing for this huge event to be staged in Beijing next  August.

The Australian men's hockey team has already qualified (defending champions) but they struggled to capitalise on opportunities during the three match 'friendly' series with cross Tasman rivals New Zealand. Three matches for three draws! WE covered all the excitement of these close encounters.

The Australian women's water polo team will also be playing New Zealand later this month in a three match Olympic qualifier that we will cover for our client Australian Water Polo Inc. The matches are to be held in Brisbane on December 17th,18th and 19th at the Valley Pool.

Hockey - Australia v New Zealand
A three test series between this old foes resulted in three draws! Played at Newcastle and Sydney Olympic Park they were all close struggles with Australia coming from 3-1 down in the final match of the series to score a draw.

Sri Chinmoy Triple Triathlon - Canberra

A long day for competitors and a long day for all three photographers involved with shooting this event. Starting at 5.30am and finishing after 8.00pm we took thousands of fantastic images covering cycling, running and swimming throughout the day.

 
Ichor Constructions - Cocktail Party
We were hired by Wilkinson Media Group to photograph the cocktail party celebrating Ichor Constructions recently completed refurbishment of Darling Harbours Exhibition and Conference Centre. Giant stilted life guards greeted guests at the entry to the Bayside Lounge and comedian Ahn Do was the entertainment for the night.

Northern Suburbs Little Athletics - Action Photos
With over 700 registered children from under 6 to under 15 yrs, Northern Suburbs Little Athletics is one of the largest! We took some photos of the children completing the many disciplines available to them every Saturday morning and the tireless work of the volunteers running the day.The club will use the images as a record in their year book.

Saint Ignatius' College - Summer Sports

The school contracts Pearse Photography to record their co-curricular activities throughout the year for college publications and archival needs. The college completed its inaugural Swimming Championships at Sydney Olympic Park last Thursday and it all went remarkably well.
